Breakdown (2024) is Steve Balbi’s fourth solo, studio album. Beautiful but distorted, daunting but heavenly, Balbi bends every genre with this new body of work. An impossibly romantic journey, Breakdown is enlightening and evocative yet melancholic and intoxicating.

Balbi commenced work on Breakdown in 2023 and released six digital tracks throughout the course of the year, including ‘We Were Lost’, ‘Avalanche’, ‘Just Like The Sun’, ‘A Perfect Day’, ‘You Supposed To be Somewhere’ and ‘Extraordinary Ordinary Life’. ‘Dragonfly’ was released in early 2024 and ‘Marrow’ is out Friday the 2nd of August, three weeks ahead of the new LP on Friday the 23rd of August 2024.

Steve Balbi returns to the Sydney Opera House – for one night only – to commemorate the launch of Breakdown on Saturday the 24th of August 2024.
